Leno Pugh - Founder
Born in Alabama and attended St. Cloud State University where he participated in football and track. Leno has 12 years experience as a certified personal trainer specializing in speed, quickness and agility training. Leno has trained an Oregon Senator, professional athletes and a well-known fashion designer. His interests include playing piano, working out and photography.
Personal Statement:
I believe each individual has the potential to improve their health and lifestyle by undertaking a regimen of physical fitness. The most successful program will incorporate activities that you enjoy, while at the same time challenging you. The key ingredients are: motivation, direction and education.
Kristal Hyatt
Born in Canada and received her BA in Sociology from Linfield College. She is a Human Resources professional with 12 years experience in the non-profit sector. Kristal has been a long-time volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Through Team in Training she finished the Honolulu Marathon. She competed in high school volleyball and track and field and her current interests include travel, photography and all things French.
Corben Hyatt
Born in Eugene, Oregon and attended Walla Walla Community College and Western Oregon University as an education major with emphasis in physical education. He played four sports in high school and played football for two years in college until he was sidelined by injuries. He coached football, basketball, track and field at the high school level as well as youth football. Corben has worked in the private business sector as a project manager for the past 10 years. He spent four of those years managing projects across the United States for a major bank.
Terry Beard
An entrepreneur in brick and mortar, e-commerce, and venture enterprises. He graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Business Administration. Currently Terry is an active angel investor in Portland, Oregon. Terry was owner and founder of Beard Frame Shops and Frame Central Stores, which are located in the Pacific Northwest. Terry merged these two chains with Northwest Framing based in Seattle, in 1999.
Richard Lazere
Previously long term counselor to children, adolescents and families. Presently he is an instructor of Psychology at Portland Community College helping to inspire and educate young minds.
Steve Strand
Born in Illinois and attended Northwestern University. As a CPA he went to work for Price Waterhouse in Chicago. Steve lived in Colorado for 12 years where he was in public practice and Controller of a ski area. He moved to San Francisco in 1984 where he worked for a private family. In 1989 he went to work for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. As CFO for Guide Dogs, Steve headed the project to build a new campus for the organization. That resulted in the current facility in Boring, Oregon. Steve became Executive Director of the new campus in 1995 until his retirement in October, 2006.
Dan Hein
A Portland native specializing in technology, financial and operations management, Dan received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Portland State University and an MBA from University of Portland. He has worked in management positions with several Northwest companies including PacifiCorp, US Bank, Integra Telecom, Hollywood Entertainment and most recently as the Chief Information Officer for First Independent Bank in Vancouver, WA.
