Instructional Sports Camps, Inc. was started in Mobile, Alabama in 1998 by Leno Pugh as a way to give back to his community. Leno's vision was to give underprivileged youth an opportunity to experience a free football camp coached by professional and college athletes from the local area. Besides youth gaining football knowledge, Leno wanted to provide kids a positive camp where they could learn skills that would help outside of the athletic world. As a college athlete himself, Leno knows that athletics taught him team work, goal setting, leadership and many other skills for success.
Each year since it started, ISC has increased the total number of youth served. Now, ISC is taking the next step to reach the most kids possible by expanding to other communities and sports. ISC's goal is to provide youth an experience that they can take away from the playing field and use in their own lives. ISC is very proud to be a nonprofit organization, offering free camps to both boys and girls ages 8-17 years old.
So put on your t-shirt and shorts, lace up your shoes, get excited and get involved. Participate in a program to help youth realize and achieve their full potential.
